Reserve an Item

You can reserve up to 40 items held by Somerset Libraries:

  • Sign into the library catalogue with your library membership number and PIN
  • Search the catalogue for the item that you want, click more details followed by the reserve tab.  Choose the library you wish to collect your item from and hit the thumbs up button to confirm your reservation.
  • Alternatively, contact us or visit your local library and we can place your reseveration.

Request an Item

If Somerset Libraries doesn't have what you want, you can ask us to purchase it or place an interlibrary loan.Works by popular authors are automatically purchased.

  • To suggest a purchase or request an interlibrary loan, sign into the library catalogue with your library membership number and PIN.
  • Select Suggestions from the top left menu and complete the Suggestion for purchase or Interlibrary loan form.
  • Alternatively, contact us or visit your local library and we can place your request.

Somerset Libraries seeks to borrow interlibrary loans from libraries that don't charge.  Most libraries outside of Queensland charge from $33.60 + postage for an interlibrary loan.  You will be advised of costs prior to an item being ordered. Once your item has been sent from a loaning library, charges are payable by you even if the loan is cancelled or not collected.  Other fees and charges apply if an interlibrary loan item is lost or damaged.
