Somerset is home to an active and vibrant arts and culture community, with everything from small volunteer run museums to contemporary art galleries.
Local events and festivals provide the community and visitors to our region with exciting and unique opportunities to participate in the arts.
Council adopted its Arts, Culture and Heritage Plan 2023 – 2028 to deliver a new whole of region vision with a focus on the strategic development of the arts, culture and heritage in Somerset. Council aims to increase arts engagement in regional Queensland through the support of local artists and community via the Regional Arts Development Fund and Regional Arts Services Network - state-wide initiatives of Arts Queensland.
