Description

The Coominya and District Historical Society meets at 9am at the Coominya Railway Station on the first Saturday of each month. All are welcome to attend the meetings. The Society gathers information, photographs and articles about the history of the Coominya and surrounding districts and will open a museum at the Coominya Railway station to display this material and also act as an information centre for tourists to the area. This is the second such organisation in Coominya, the first was the Coominya Heritage Group which erected 6 murals around Coominya depicting the early activities and industries of the district.
