TOOGOOLAWAH will become the centre stage for beef lovers on Saturday, 29 March as hundreds of cattle producers and foodies come together for the second annual Legends of Beef, proudly supported by Somerset Regional Council through its tourism arm, Experience Somerset.
The sell-out event is an unapologetic celebration of beef and the Somerset farmers who produce it.
Event organiser Duncan Brown said the 2025 event features a four-course nose-to tail beef feast prepared by award winning Brisbane chefs Will Cowper from OTTO Ristorante and Jason Peppler from Cooked by JP, but the highlight will be the stories of local beef producers – some of them in their sixth generation of Somerset beef production – showcasing their resilience and creativity.
“Legends of Beef is a chance for people passionate about this great industry to gather, feast and pay tribute to the pioneers and legends who have made this industry the enduring success it is,” Mr Brown said.
“The documentaries aired exclusively on the night are stunning – Yellowstone in your own backyard!”
The evening also raises funds for Toogoolawah State High School’s agricultural program which empowers students for a bright future in the industry.
Legends of Beef will be held at the Toogoolawah Showgrounds.
