THE SOMERSET Rail Trail Classic is back again for 2025, with four exciting challenges on offer on Sunday, 13 July.
Somerset Regional Council’s event takes place on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, Australia’s longest recreational rail trail
Somerset Councillor Brett Freese said the 22nd Annual Somerset Rail Trail Classic catered for all ages and abilities.
“We’ll have two bike ride options, 44km and 20km, and also an 8km and 3km walk or run,” Cr Freese said.
“Whether you want to race for first or just take a leisurely stroll, there’s no wrong or right way to have fun.
“The event is a great outdoor healthy activity to share with family, friends or work colleagues, and a chance to enjoy the best of Somerset’s natural beauty.”
Registrations open with early bird prices on Thursday, 27 March.
“During the early bird sale, entries for children will cost just $15, adults will be able to enter for $35, and families can register for just $85,” Cr Freese said.
“It’s great value for this event and includes plenty of family friendly activities at the post-race festival.”
Cr Freese thanked the event’s major sponsor, A&M Civil, for their ongoing support.
“We look forward to seeing everyone on the trail in July.”
