Roll Up to the Somerset Civic Centre
Strap on your skates and blades, because the Roller Disco is returning to Esk.
Somerset Regional Council is presenting a free night of rollerblading fun at the Somerset Civic Centre carpark on Saturday, 14 December from 5pm to 8pm.
The event is open to all including families and children aged five and up, with retro disco tunes and free skate hire.
Somerset Councillor Sally Jess said the Roller Disco was a great Somerset event.
“The Esk Roller Disco is the perfect way to kick off Council’s School Holiday Program,” Cr Jess said.
“First timers, professional skaters and anyone looking to have a good time rolling with friends is welcome to the party.”
The event, hosted by Roller Dance Australia and funded by Council, provides some free roller skate and roller blade hire with a variety of sizes available.
Participants are reminded to wear their own safety gear, long socks and are welcome to bring their own skates and blades.
“This event is always popular and it’s great to see the community come together at the Somerset Civic Centre’s improvised outdoor roller rink,” Cr Jess said.
“There will be food and drinks available for purchase, including a barbecue and ice cream.”
