PLANT hire operators are encouraged to submit for the latest Somerset Regional Council wet hire tender which closes on 25 September.
Operators have a chance to tender for 27 wet plant hire categories which will provide Council with a panel of supply for two years from December 2024 to November 2026.
Somerset Mayor Jason Wendt said the tender reaffirmed Council’s commitment to economic growth in the Somerset region, with a 10% weighting in favour of local suppliers.
“Council actively aims to buy local to support our local businesses and residents. This is demonstrated by the record $36.5 million spent by Somerset Regional Council with local businesses and suppliers in the 2023-2024 financial year,” Cr Wendt said.
Council tenders are advertised on Somerset Regional Council and VendorPanel websites. VendorPanel is a procurement portal used by many councils to conduct public tenders and to source quotations. It features various supplier lists known as panels, to streamline the procurement process for Council.
Suppliers may register with VendorPanel to access and lodge their tender submission via the Vendorpanel website at www.vendorpanel.com.au/publictenders.aspx?emcc=4F0A058531A2
Wet hire suppliers need to submit their tender via VendorPanel by 11am on Wednesday, 25 September.
