2025 Somerset Australia Day Awards
Do you know an outstanding individual or community group? Nominate them today!
The 2025 Australia Day Awards are a fantstic way to celebrate community minded individuals, not for profit groups and valued events across the Somerset region.
The award categories include:
Citizen of the Year - Persons who have provided their time in contributing to the community during the year or have given outstanding service to the community over several years.
Young Citizen of the Year - Young persons (aged16-30) who have provided their time in contributing to the community during the current year or have given outstanding service to the community over several years.
Arts and Culture Award - Open to performers, musicians, actors, directors and artisits, celebrating their creative achievements for the preceeding year as well as those who have worked to develop cultural activities and projects within the Somerset region.
Sports Award - Open to coaches, administration and officials who have provided thier time in contributing to the Somerset sporting community or an athlete or team who has achieved exceptional results in sporting endeavours.
Community Group of the Year - A not-for-profit group that has made a significant contribution to the community within the Somerset Regional Council area.
Event of the Year - This is presented to the person or group who has staged the most outstanding community event during 2024 within the Somerset Regional Council area. Events must have occurred between Friday 1 December 2023 and Friday 1 November 2024.
