Creative Workshop - Event Planning

Discover all the tricks and tips to planning and managing a successful arts project or festival.

In this free workshop, you will learn new skills or build on existing experiences in the areas of project development, curating, producing and project management of events, or arts projects, in your community.
 
All ideas, community groups, artforms, event styles, artists, artsworkers, creative businesses and organisations are encouraged to attend!
 
About the presenter:
With a long career in the UK, working in a variety of theatre and arts roles, Nigel was Executive Director of Queensland Music Festival between 2008-2018, with a purpose to transform lives and communities through music, reaching 112,065 people in 46 communities.
In 2019, Nigel established Momentum Arts, an arts production consultancy specialising in arts and well-being, strategic planning, regional arts development and major events.
 
Current and recent projects include Business Development consultancy for MIND BLANK, Executive Producer for THE BIG ANXIETY QUEENSLAND, management of the Regional Arts Fund for Queensland, strategic planning for three galleries in Maranoa, and design and delivery of an arts program for the National Rural Health Conference (Brisbane, August 2022). Nigel also delivers bespoke consultancy projects in touring and disability arts and is a Peer Assessor for Arts Queensland.
